Start here / Quickstart
Quickstart — thirty seconds.
From zero to a public HTTPS URL for your local dev server, with DDoS protection in front, without opening a single port.
Install the CLI
We ship a single binary for macOS, Linux and Windows. Pick your flavor:
# macOS / Linux $ curl -fsSL https://get.vtx.link | sh # macOS · Homebrew $ brew install wicked/tap/vortex # Windows · scoop $ scoop install vortex
Log in
One browser round-trip. No config files to edit.
$ vortex login → opens https://app.vortex.sh/cli-auth → signed in as aya@nocturne.gg · workspace nocturne-gg
Run your first tunnel
Point it at a local port. Get a public HTTPS URL in return.
$ vortex tunnel run --port 8080 → handshake · wireguard · iad-01 ✓ tunnel up · 11ms → public: https://wispy-fern-3b9a.vtx.link
That's it.
Your local port is now reachable at that URL with TLS and mitigation in front. Stop the command to tear the tunnel down.
Attach your own domain
When you're ready for a real hostname, point a CNAME at us.
$ vortex domain add api.nocturne.gg → dns record to add: CNAME api → edge-kx7p.vtx.link → tls cert · auto · let's encrypt → ready in ~60s after DNS propagates
Regions
| Code | Location | p95 |
|---|---|---|
| iad-01 | Ashburn, US | 38ms |
| icn-01 | Seoul, KR | 6ms |
| nrt-01 | Tokyo, JP | 12ms |
| fra-02 | Frankfurt, DE | 24ms |
